The Northumberland coast is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). With one hundred miles of unspoiled coastline it provides plenty of fantastic walks, as well as fishing, bird watching, horse riding and boat trips where you could spot puffins, whales, seals, dolphins and porpoises.
Located on this Heritage coastline which is dotted with castles and stunning beaches, Seahouses is the ideal place to stay while exploring Northumberland. There are regular boat trips from Seahouse harbour to The Farne Islands, which is ideal for bird lovers and geologists. Also in the centre of the village you will find a number of restaurants, cafes, pubs, a small supermarket, and a range of craft shops.
Positioned along the stunning Northumberland coastline are the magnificent castles of Dunstanburgh, Warkworth, Bamburgh and Holy Island and not far inland Alnwick Castle.
The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away, a popular destination for keen walkers, and the views from the top of The Cheviot, the largest of the hills, are truly breathtaking.
